Ah a typical workspace day... full of mess. Scraps from projects, stuff to be put away, just mess. And lots of ribbon to be organized. Check out the photo on Flickr to see all the notes on the items.

Helping a Friend
A Facebook friend of mine asked me to review some designs of her's and I went and created two cards with them. The one on the right uses Mojo Monday's Sketch #206.
I hope she likes them!

Workspace Wednesday
I finally got back to crafting! Today my workspace is full of paper medallions I worked on for a Scrapping the Magic post! There is also a stack of new 6x6 paper pads I split with my mom. Now I just have to find them a home. Check out the photo on Flickr to see all the notes on the items.

Mojo Monday Sketch #205
I was creative today! I made a card! And an ornament, but that's another post.
I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #205 for the layout of my card.

Tomorrow I'll start being creative! Tomorrow I'll start my diet! Tomorrow I'll do something epic.
Tomorrow... maybe.

My Bucket List
A bucket list... a list of dreams one hopes to fulfill before they die. Since the days seem to be flying by I figured it's time to write down my list. Being a bit of a realist I've broken the list down by things that are possible and things that are a bit impossible, unless I won the lotto.
Stuff that Just Requires Time and Hard Work
- Have The Magic Family of websites become a smooth running success
- Gain 100 followers of this blog
- Gain 1000 followers of this blog
- Have a successful art career
- Have all my medical issues in check
- Get media clearance for Disney events
Stuff that Requires Money... and lots of it
- Go to the Disneyland Resort
- Go to the Disneyland Paris Resort
- Go to a San Diego Comic Con
- Go to a D23 Expo
- Go to a CHA Convention
- Go to a BlogHer Convention
- Go to Ireland
- Adopt a baby boy
- Buy a house

August 17th...
Well, the month is more than 1/2 over and so far I've missed 3 days in my goal to blog everyday this month. And I'm okay with that. I've still gotten better about blogging, though I regret that most of the post haven't been the most artistic. So that is my goal for the rest of the month... MORE ARTSY POST! =0D

Happy Day in Whoville!
I'm a huge Doctor Who fan, who is only on season 2 of the series. I'd been watching the episodes on Netflix streaming on my iPad... which is great, but nothing like watching on a large tv. Today my brother came over and ran a wire through a very gross crawl space in the basement so that my blu-ray player could be connected to the modem. Now I can stream Netflix on my tv. Even better he bought my parents a new wireless blu-ray so I can also stream Dr. Who on their 55" HD tv.

Stamp Overload
Been trying to organize my stamps... thanks to my OCD it is taking me three times longer than it should. That and I have at least 500 stamps. Ugh.

Team Vampires
I've been feeling a bit achy lately, so I've taken to bed with a book I've been trying to read for at least a year but haven't found the time.
Image © Amazon.com
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is the story of President Lincoln from youth to presidency with a focus on his secret job of hunting vampires. Amazon classifies this book as a work of fantasy, but oh, how I wish this book was a work of non-fiction. I so want it to be 100% real! Without giving anything away, let's just say I love the concept, the characters, and the story. And I'm learning more about Abe Lincoln then I ever have during my years of school! If you like vampires, history, or twisted books, this one is for you!

Workspace Wednesday
Someday I'll get back to crafting, but until my basement workspace is finished I'm doing a lot of organizing. Today I'm working on all my $1 stamps. I think I finally have a system I'm happy with. Jumbo binders and baseball card pages for the win! Also working on my schedule for the next 2 months. Tons of things going on! Check out the photo on Flickr to see all the notes on the items.

A Party in Wonderland
As I had mention in my past couple of posts, I was going to an Alice in Wonderland themed party at my good friend Yvonne's house. Well, let me tell you... Yvonne knows how to throw a party! The decor was amazing! The food was insane! And the cake... omg the cake was beautiful! Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn't get the party invite and decided to rain like crazy most of the evening.
Here are some photos of the weekend:
Me and Yvonne showing off our crazy hats!
The Food! All in mismatched dishes and bowls with lots of Eat Me toothpicks sprinkled among the munchies.
Radishes cut into the shape of mushrooms! How cute are they!
The cake! Done by HS Cake Designs in Maryland. Too beautiful to cut in my opinion!
The birthday girl modeling some of her great Alice in Wonderland themed gifts.
It was an incredible weekend full of fun, fantasy, and lots of food! Check out more photos on my Facebook page!

A Guest of the Mad Hatter
Yesterday I showed you a picture of a project in process. Today I'll share the finished piece:
The other side:
Now I'm sure you are wondering where one would wear a hat like this... it's not Halloween and the Kentucky Derby has past. Was I invited to a Royal Wedding? Nope... to my sister from another mother's Alice in Wonderland themed birthday party. It's going to be one giant tea party/wonderland/crazy event. The invite said all must wear a hat. So being the crafty person that I think I am, I made one. I've named the butterfly Absolem after the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland and picked feathers that matched my dress. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some photos of the party to post!

Project Runway
Last night on Project Runway they had the unconventional challenge. For those of you that don't watch the show the unconventional challenge is where they have to get all their supplies for their outfits from a place like a party store, drug store, etc. Last night was a pet store. Needless to say there were some hit or misses... kind of like this season, which BTW I'm not in love with yet. Anyway enough rambling about a tv show...
The reason I mentioned it was looking at the supplies for a fashion project I'm doing I felt like I was doing an unconventional challenge!
Feathers, a giant butterfly, and felt, oh my! I promise it will all make sense tomorrow when I show you the final piece... but for now you try and figure out what and why I'm making this item!

Workspace Wednesday
Even artists have to do paperwork! And lots of it... receipts, website code, ideas, bills, accounting stuff... it's all there! Other things on the table are a project to be done and a blog post to be written. Check out the photo on Flickr to see all the notes on the items.

Studio Mate
Trying to get some work done in the studio, but it's really hard with this little guy looking all cute. I just want to climb back into bed and snuggle with him!
Aren't cats wonderful creatures?
P.S. As part of my "Make August Great Movement" I'm going to attempt to update this blog daily... mostly to get in the habit of blogging as an everyday thinks. Be prepared for some serious randomness! =D

August 1st...
Well, here it is August 1st. This year sure hasn't gone as planned. Website updates have been delayed, my art store still isn't open, and the medical issues just keep increasing. But it's the first of the month, a chance to start over. More focus, new meds, more crafting... and a lot more blogging!
Stay tuned... I hope to make it a good month!
